364/366 - "Small Town Saturday Night"

(F/8, 17mm, 3 Exposures, ISO 100, Canon 5D Mk II)

Based on my last two photos you probably thought I was going to do something related to the number three.  Well, you would have been right, but dad was in a car accident yesterday.  I spent most of the day at the hospital hanging out with him, talking and watching football.  When I got home it was dark and I decided to grab my camera and do some long exposure photographs of Oakmont.  This one is my favorite.  I took this from the Allegheny River Boulevard sidewalk by the clock tower looking towards Allegheny River Avenue.  Only two photos to go!

300/366 - "Camera Tossing"

(F/8, 5mm, 1.0 sec, ISO 100, Canon PowerShot SX200 IS)

So it is day 300, and I am still going somewhat strong.  I was surfing the interwebs the other day and stumbled upon a photographic technique called camera tossing.  Google it, there are some pretty amazing photos out there using this technique.  Anyway, I wanted to do something different to mark the occasion of day 300 and this is it.  I spent about 10 minutes tossing my camera in the air watching it spin out of control hoping to catch it before it crashed down on the floor.  This is actually quite addicting trying to get the timing right checking every photo to see what is captured.  I highly recommend this and I suggest a Point & Shoot camera that you are willing to break, because you will drop it at some point.

185/366 - "Waiting"

(F/4, 17mm, 11 sec, ISO 100, Canon 5D Mk II)

Last night we went to see some fireworks.  This was the first time for us at this location and I was hoping to get some good shots of the fireworks.  Unfortunately, our location was not ideal for photos of the fireworks.  This photo is during the time we had to wait for the fireworks while I was messing around with some time lapse photography.
