297/366 - "Fall"

I did a similar shot back on day number 9, and I thought I should redo the shot with the colorful leaves on the trees.  I still don't care for these trees and I am always working to get them replaced with something else.

191/366 - "Dirty Trees"

I posted back on Day 9 a photograph of the wonderful shade trees that line our street.  In the last week these glorious trees (Sycamore) have dumped countless leaves, bark, and dead branches in my yard, roof, porch, and sidewalk.  I would love to remove these trees and replant "cleaner" trees.  My yard should not look like this until October.  Our cute little town of Oakmont has rules and I am unable to just remove them or I would.  I wish the Shade Tree Commission would work with me on this, but they will not.

97/366 - "Ring-O-Round The Tree"

Today Jonah and I went for a hike in Dark Hollow Woods.  While we were hiking we stumbled upon this tree that had this cool ring around it.  Jonah and I talked about what could have possibly happened to this tree to cause this in the bark. 

82/366 - "Memories"

On days like this with the clear blue sky the flowers on these trees just pop.  These trees are everywhere in Oakmont, lining many streets.  Today you get a two'fer.  The top is my intended photograph of the day but I wanted to show how the trees line the streets.

These trees also bring back memories for me of delivering papers as a kid.  These trees are also all over The Linsly School's campus where I had papers to delivery.

76/366 - "Sun and Tree"

As the sun was setting tonight I ran out to the back porch and took a couple photographs in hopes that something would turn out.  Luckily I was able do a little post processing to make this interesting looking.

42/366 - "Plum Creek"

I had to run out and get a haircut this morning.  I decided to take my camera and drive around the neighborhood a little and find some potential snow photographs.  I was on my way home, when I spotted this scene.  This is a section of Plum Creek, that runs past a housing plan called Oakmont Commons.  The wind was blowing and it was still snowing, so I shot this from inside the car with the window down.

9/366 - "I Hate You"

Such a pretty day today.  I was working from home, so at lunch I walked outside and snapped a couple shots of the trees that I love to hate.  I love the shade they provide, but I hate the pollen balls, falling leaves (spring and fall), peeling bark, and falling limbs.  I believe these trees are the dirtiest trees EVER.  The type of tree is a sycamore and according to the Shade Tree Commission (Oakmont's Tree Police), they were transplanted from the Allegheny River to the streets all around Oakmont some 100 years ago.
