242/366 - "The Shot"

I had a previous manager that swore by doing a shot of Jack Daniels the moment you felt the onset of a sore throat.  Well, I started to get that scratchy throat feeling at work, so when I got home I poured a shot, took some photos, and down it went.  

241/366 - "Bow Ties"

I was surfing the interwebs at lunch today and discovered that it is National Bow Tie Day.  I have been known to sport a bow tie on special occasions, so I decided to do a product shot of my ties.  

229/366 - "Yellowjacket Doom"

Yellowjackets have been discovered making a nest between our siding and the house and occasionally a stray yellowjacket in the basement.  Well after much research I order the following "kit" to resolve this issue.  Tonight I will be performing step one, which is to take the CB-80 spray and spray it in the nest.  Night time is best because they are all in the nest after a long day of flying around.  Also, yellowjackets can't see very well so it will be harder to sting me, or at least that what the interweb says. Step one will last a couple days, and then ka-pow I spray this magic dust into the nest and that penetrates the entire nest and hangs around for any babies that are thinking about hatching.  If I were a yellowjacket, I would think about getting out of the nest forever.  You have 30 minutes....GO!

209/366 - "Scotch"

I discovered that today was National Scotch Day and my inspiration was born.  My scotch of choice is Macallan.  I wish I had something in the house a little more aged, but I will "suffer" through my bottle of 12 year.  Enjoy your scotch of choice responsibly today.  Cheers!

55/366 - "Cookie Time"

To be honest this is one of my favorite times of the year and it is because of Girl Scout Cookies.  I end up ordering from a couple different girls and get about 15-20 boxes.  Thin Mints are the best by far.  What is your favorite?

17/366 - "Natural Consequences"

Sue and I parent with the attitude that there are natural consequences for your behavior.  So when our son Jonah thought is would be a good idea to write his name and draw on his walls and doors in his bedroom last night, he certainly knew that there would be a punishment.  His punishment you ask?  After dinner tonight, before playing with any toys, he had to remove the markings from his wall with this wonderful product pictured above.  We love you Mr. Clean, and often wonder how our parents lived without you.
