I have been waiting for the tree to be up to do one of these shots.  It is a long exposure and during the exposure you adjust the zoom to get the light trails.  It reminds me of Star Wars when they would make the jump to the next star system.

Growing up my mom would needle-point a new Christmas ornament for me each year.  When I moved out and started a family she gave them all to me for my tree.  This cowboy is one of my favorites.

I decided to do a macro shot today, and since Sue and the kids decorated the house this weekend, I should have enough inspiration to get me through a few more days.  Do you have a ceramic tree?  We have two and I remember growing up with several adorning the house during the holidays.
