61/366 - "Urban Decay"

(F/4, 105mm, 1/125 sec, ISO 200, Canon 7D)

I have been searching for a vacant or rundown building to photograph.  This particular location is about a block from our house.  There are "No Trespassing" signs all over the place and I have been told by a couple locals that the guy that owns the property and would probably shoot me if I went inside.  So I will have to settle on some exterior shots for now, and this one makes me want to go inside even more.

If anyone knows of any locations that I could get into that are in the Pittsburgh area let me know.

  1. oooo, I like it! I truly appreciate the offset and how the left side is a solid wall, the color bands of that brick wall, the opposite side so full of things to look at from the tree grown into the line of the wall. So much to look at in this picture! Needless to say, I like!

    1. I figured you would like this one. I went back and forth between this version and a black and white version. I kept this one because of the contrast between the cream colors, greens, and the red bricks. Also, in the black and white version you lose the tree that you see, as it just blends in. Glad you enjoyed it.

  2. Very nice. It's a great photo to jack up the vibrance and clarity. I'd probably turn up the highlights too.
